Old Papers and Other Stories

Many people have travelled on the trails of Tweedsmuir Park; some have written of their journeys. Older stories are easily lost. Here are a few I have found or created. I hope you find them interesting.

Mackenzie's Real Route

When Halle Flygare laid out the route of Mackenzie's 1793 entry into the Bella Coola Valley from Montreal, he knew it wasn't quite right. Fifty years later, with the help of Harvey Thomassen and friends, he got it right. Here is Harvey's story of how that happened.
